Who We Are

We are a Congregational Church and members of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference(http://ccccusa.com) since 1985.  Garfield Christian Fellowship is a community of followers of Christ Jesus where we support a shared life together in Christ embracing together the being (who we are in Christ) and the doing (what we do in Christ).  What Jesus is doing through us directly flows from who Jesus is becoming in us.

Seven statements of faith

• We believe in the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the only inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative Word of God
• We believe in the deity of Christ Jesus, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His incredible and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return in power and glory
• We believe in the trinity consisting of one God externally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling power and fullness the Christian is enabled to live a godly life in the presence of an evil world
• We believe that salvation of sinful man is through Christ Jesus alone and regeneration (being born again) by the Holy Spirit is essential
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, through Christ Jesus, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal death
• We believe in the biblical spiritual unity of all believers in Christ Jesus

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to Passionately love God, to Compassionately love people, and to Conscientiously help others to do the same

We value the Family of God; Our Fellowship; Our Community; and Missions (supporting God’s work locally and around the world)

God's Vision
As God enables us, we will share our transformed life with our community so that they have the opportunity to see Jesus in us and get to know Jesus through us so that the Family of God is increased.

Our Mission
We embrace God's preferred values and live out His vision to impact Garfield and the Palouse Region through:

• Intercessory Prayer – Supportively living a life of prayer so that God’s grace, mercy, peace, and forgiveness is demonstrated in our lives and our community (1 Thessalonians 5:15-17)
• Fellowship ­– Caringly impacting the lives around us with the love, grace, and truth of Jesus, so that we all become more like Him together (Acts 2:42-47)
• Hospitality – Thoughtfully welcoming people into our church family, our groups, and our homes so they experience a real sense of belonging and community (Romans 12:9-13; Hebrews 13:1-3)
• Multiplication – Living out God’s preferred values by gently reproducing this vision through our own lives, through the people we touch, and ultimately throughout the community at large (Matthew 28:18-20)

Our History

This church was planted in Garfield, WA July 1891, and is in it's third building which was completed in 1967.
